CLASS MOTTO: FIAT
From the tumultuous and radical 70’s our high school class of 1975 has
indeed come a long way. We were teenagers in an era of confusion and
change. Our class has been characterized as exuberant, hyperactive, verbally
expressive, exceptionally gifted and emotionally resilient. NOISE was
perhaps our hallmark and the most notorious can be a teacher’s nightmare.
Inside these walls we grew up- and over the years, these three things remain:
FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE. While balancing career and family life
whether in our homeland or in distant shores, it was our FAITH that held
the ground, HOPE that moved us on and LOVE that pulled us through
each turbulence. After 25 years, what we have become is our gift to God.
We remember our classmates, who, because of choice or circumstance
couldn’t be here with us today. We particularly remember Sarah Seneres,
whose tragic death seared our minds and strengthened our resolve to fight
for what is right. We have classmates who have become staunch advocates
and leaders in the field of women’s rights, child abuse and domestic violence.
We thank Sister Inocencia whose patient mentoring taught us to dream
and gave us the freedom to be. We are where we are today because
we had said “YES”* to God.
We are confident that because of our Assumption heritage we are never alone.
And as we continue to touch the lives of the people in our community
we know we are living Mother Marie Eugenie’s mission and have allowed
the “good to break through” and shed its radiance.
Thank you Marissa for this fantastic page..through the years, you're still the class' initiator, writer, motivator, treasurer, secretary and a dear classmate.
